Position Overview:
The IT Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s technology infrastructure to ensure smooth daily operations and secure digital environments. This role will handle user account management, hardware & software setup and troubleshooting, system access control, devices management and ongoing support across global teams. The IT Specialist will collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure efficient service delivery, data protection, system compliance, and IT equipment lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System & Account Administration
Manage and maintain Google Workspace including user accounts (creation in line with HR procedures), access rights, groups, shared drives, and licence allocation.
Manage Zoom, Slack and other collaboration platforms (account provisioning, permissions, troubleshooting).
Manage and maintain other platforms, ensuring that subscription terms and payments are up to date, and inform the company admin to make payments on time.
Oversee Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication requirements.
Maintain company digital access logs and ensure compliance with security standards.
Research and compare quotations according to internal needs and functions, then propose the most suitable package to the Admin Team Leader for approval.
2. Hardware & Equipment Management
Maintain IT asset inventory (laptops, monitors, accessories, headsets, routers, etc.).
Prepare, configure, and issue laptops and workstations for new employees (image setup, applications installation, security configuration).
Monitor equipment lifecycle: procurement planning, maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.
Coordinate repair, warranty claims, and external vendor support where needed.
3. Software & License Management
Install, update, and troubleshoot software and system applications.
Monitor license status and renewals ensuring uninterrupted access.
Ensure all systems meet cybersecurity and version control requirements.
4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to global team members across different time zones.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, account lockouts, device complications, and software errors.
Maintain IT helpdesk, resolving issues within reasonable response times internally.
5. IT Security & Compliance
Support compliance with data security policies and GDPR privacy standards.
Manage antivirus and endpoint security tools.
Participate in access audits and internal IT security assessments.
Educate employees periodically on safe digital practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of professional experience in IT support or system administration.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Google Workspace Administration (required).
Experience managing Zoom, Slack, and productivity platforms.
Working understanding of Windows & macOS environments.
Knowledge of PC hardware components and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with endpoint security tools and basic networking (VPN, routers, IP configuration).
Soft Skills
Strong communication and customer service mindset.
Strong English skill to work with colleagues around the world.
Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive problem solver.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable supporting global teams and occasional off-hours support.
